One of the most famous features of the Camargue are its white horses, a special breed of horses that are thought to be one of the oldest horse breeds in the world. In spite of the fact that some of the white Camargue horses are semi-wild, most of them are used by the traditional cowboys to round up and herd the black bulls in the region.
