View from the beach of the Hotel del Coronado

Description

In Coronado, California, there is the Hotel del Coronado which is a historic beachfront hotel situated across the bay from San Diego, just across the San Diego Bay from the city. In 1970, the wooden Victorian beach resort was designated a California Historical Landmark, and in 1977, it was designated a National Historic Landmark, making it a rare surviving example of an American architectural genre - the wooden Victorian beach resort. This is the second largest wooden structure in the United States, after the Statue of Liberty.
