Description

Pemaquid Point Lighthouse in Maine - This Maine lighthouse was built in 1827 as a result of a commission by John Quincy Adams, and it is home to the Fisherman's Museum on the first floor in the Keepers House, as well as an apartment on the second floor which can be rented. In the town of Bristol, there is a park called Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park, located at the entrance to Muscongus Bay and Johns Bay. There was an exception to the purchase of the light tower in 1940 by the Town of Bristol when it purchased the property from the Coast Guard. By the way, the Bristol Parks Commission is in charge of managing Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park.
