There are several vineyards in the Cave deTain area.

Description

As the French AOC system began to be established during the 1930's, the Cave de Tain was founded by Louis Gambert de Loche, who was the inspiration behind the French AOC system, a visionary vigneron who devoted much of his time to the defense of the Hermitage quality label.

The most important things you need to know about Hermitage and Ermitage.

It was originally written "Hermitage" to honor Gaspard de Sterimberg, who lived as a hermit during the Crusades to atone for the sins he committed during those times. On this hill, he had settled and planted vines in the area where he had planted his vineyard. A century later, the English became the largest consumers of French wine in the 19th century.
